Berberis thunbergii Golden Ring

Height: 0,4–0,5 m

Berberis Golden Ring is a medium-sized deciduous shrub that forms long, upright and then arching shoots. It can reach a height of up to 1-1.5 m and a width of 0.6-0.9 m. Its leaves are burgundy, broadly lance-shaped, with a thin yellow band along the leaf edge. Small, yellow flowers bloom in late April or early May and then turn into red, slightly elongated berries. It prefers a sunny spot and loose, well-drained soil rich in nutrients. Its water needs are moderate. It can be planted as a standalone plant, together with other perennial plants or in a larger rock garden.
